Due to the lock-downs facing a large swathe of the global population, we have tried to accommodate photographers who are wanting to improve some of their editing skills while they are confined to home. As such, we are moving the seminar sessions to online small group teaching sessions using the popular Zoom desktop app.

The calendar of sessions is still available on the site under the Seminar Sessions. the online sessions will remain small so as to keep the classroom atmosphere as well as the opportunity for participants to engage with the instructor.
Step One - Make a booking for the seminar session that you would like to attend. You can do this by emailing [email protected]. On booking you will be sent bankinf details for the lesson fee.

Step Two - Seminars have to be paid for in advance. We are implementing a special for all daytime seminars of R150 a session until the end of April. Sessions last between an hour to an hour and a half.

Step Three - Download Zoom on to your computer. This is a free to use service, but does require a registration. You can find out more about it and register on the Zoom site: http://zoom.us/signup

Step Four - When you book for a session you will be added to a Whatsapp group (this is a unique group that changes regularly and is purely a way of sending session times and codes to participants - Participants are added and removed according to who is attending a session). The Whatsapp group will publish the meeting time and access codes and passwords for the session.

Step Five - A session is best attended with either a laptop and a computer, or a laptop and a mobile device like an Ipad. This allows the photographer to watch the session, as well as follow along or make changes on their own computer.

Hi I am interested in the Luminosity Masking Basics Seminar - 14 April. I am not very experienced in masking but I do understand the concept, just not using it much.

Hi Cynthia

The seminar is designed for people just starting out with understanding luminosity masking. It gives a basic overview as well as looking at some of the tools available for free and paid. If you need more one-on-one time we can also offer private Zoom sessions to get you through the hurdles.

One proviso regarding this particular seminar though...I have to travel next week for a commercial shoot, and may have to postpone the session to a different date...please email (addresses on the site) us your contact details and we'll give you the updates.
