The NP-60 hybrid quick release plate features a modular anti-twist flange, which makes it more versatile than a standard camera or lens plate.
When lined up against one of the edges of the camera or lens, an anti-twist flange prevents the plate from being able to twist or unscrew unintentionally. This feature is designed more for lenses with a short foot profile like 70-200/100-400mm's, but it can also be used on a camera body. The optimal attachment solution for a camera body is an L-bracket, but what makes this plate great is that it can be used as a standard camera plate (anti-twist flange lowered) or as a short lens plate for 70-200/100-400mm class lenses. If you're just starting out and you're not 100% sure what to purchase, the best option is to buy a versatile and affordable product like this before committing to L-brackets and more specialised plates. Machined from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminium, hollowed out to reduce weight and finished in a black anodised coating to protect from bumps and scratches. The top features ribbed rubber pads to assist with grip on the camera body/lens foot. |

Telephoto lens supports are becoming more popular as they have been proven to enhance the stability of such setups by distributing the weight of the camera through the support, instead of all the weight being on the lens foot. Improved stability and weight distribution means a lesser chance of blurred images from camera shake and smoother gimbal operation.
Leofoto's telephoto lens supports are available in 250mm and 400mm versions - it is up to you to measure the distance between your camera body and the lens foot to see which length will be ideal for your setup. The articulating support arm features three hinges, two of which are operated by an allen key and one which has a big locking knob, operated by hand. This knob has a shifting rail, which also aids with height adjustments of the arm to ensure optimal alignment for camera support. The entire articulating arm can be removed with an allen key, leaving you with a standard 250/400mm arca-swiss plate. The 250/400mm plate features a UNC 1/4" and 3/8" attachment screws, which can be removed or supplemented. It also features laser engraved measurements along the side of the plate so you can quickly balance your lens.
